The bagel to toast,

The sun to set.

My weight to drop,

The house to sell,

The baby to be born.

I have to be patient

For the doctor to call,

The sun to rise.

The test to come back,

The child to grow up,

The election results.

I promise I’ll be happy

When I find the perfect

Purse

Ring

Car

Couch.

Someday I’ll

Travel

Redecorate

Grow vegetables

Wear a size 10

Retire

Win the lottery.

But until then

I have to keep waiting.
