God scooped me up.
Used both of His hands,
Picked me up with all of my stuff
And plopped me down
In a new place,
A new home, new town, new everything.
Ahh, the chaos,
The jumble of furniture and cats and
Paintings and clocks.
Clothes and lamps and
TV’s, books, dishes
And glasses.
A pile of everything that defined me.
Us. My life up until now.
Up until this New Moment.
Where am I?
And where am I in this new existence?
What am I, now that I awaken
To bright light, and feathery trees?
Different birds twittering shiny songs
Suaro families that greet my morning
Coffee.
Who do You want me to be
Now that I am here?
An old new me wants to
Shake off the sleepiness.
The new old me is stretching
Toward the sun.
Reaching for
An ancient journey that is
Waiting for my first
Tentative steps toward the
Tomorrow that is now.
